Looking Back and Moving Forward

I chuckled when I read the first few lines of my last post, ‘where did November go?’ Little did I know what December had in store for me. What a whirlwind! This Christmas saw by FAR the best sales for my little biz and I am so thankful to everyone who has supported me and bought a little piece of my knitted world in that time. How cool to think so many people around the UK and further afield were opening a little Yiskah Knits parcel on Christmas day!I spent Christmas cooking my first Beef Wellington (so good!), drinking wheat beer, making marshmallows and pesto for hamper gifts and driving in all directions to see family. It was the perfect end to a really great year.

2012 was a huge learning curve for me. I took my first tentative steps into retail shops and learnt where and how my products sell best. I developed new jewellery pieces, published my first pattern and joined notonthehighstreet.com. I feel much better equipped to keep moving and make this year even better – it’s going to be amazing… just as soon as I kick this cold in the butt! A frosty walk to the post office.

Thank you so much for being a part of my little world, online and off. I wish you all a Happy (belated) New Year – here’s to moving forward!
