Lacy Mitten Knitting Kit; Finished

I was given this cute lacy mitten knitting kit for Christmas by my boyfriend’s mum (she designs and sells them in a craft shop in the Brecon Beacons). Aren’t they great? They’ve been finished for a little while, but I’ve only just got round to sewing them up. The kit comes with 4mm needles and hand dyed blue faced leicester yarn, which is so warm! It was lovely to knit with, as well, especially on bamboo needles. I’m wearing them right now as I type blog posts in my draughty flat.

If you’d like to have a go at making a pair yourself, the kits are on sale in Beacon’s Crafts in Brecon, or if you’re not local you may be able to order one through their website, or Facebook page.

I spent an indulgent day re-arranging my yarn stash yesterday. I’ve found that every time I move house I need to find a new way to store it. This is less than convenient so I’ve found myself a dedicated stash-holding-receptacle. Oh yes! I’ll post about it later this week and show you all the storage ideas I drooled over along the way. Hope you’re having a good week!
